To avoid misunderstandings and errors we measure stones using one format: Width x Depth x Height, all in inches.

For example a common flat grass memorial in California is 24" x 12" x 3"

This format works for monuments too.  An upright monument might be 36" x 8" x 24"  This means the monument would be 3 feet wide, 8 inches thick and stand 2 feet tall.

When placing an order it's important to check the cemetery requirements first, and make sure to follow this format.
