What’s Allowed at All Souls
All Souls is a Catholic cemetery operated by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, so every memorial follows the Archdiocese’s own specifications. Markers must be granite or bronze; marble, limestone, and synthetic materials are not permitted. Every memorial must include a cross. A lawn-mower-proof (LMP) edge is optional but suggested, since it holds up better against grounds equipment over time. Because All Souls is divided into sections with their own size rules, the marker size available to a family depends on where their loved one’s plot is located. We confirm the size with the cemetery office before any design work begins.

Who Sets the Stone at All Souls
What we handle: Design, engraving, and delivery. Because All Souls checks every memorial against the Archdiocese’s specifications before it’s installed, we contact the cemetery office ahead of time on your behalf so the marker is approved and ready to set when it arrives.
Who sets the marker: All Souls’ own grounds crew sets every marker. Once we deliver the finished memorial to the cemetery, their team places it level with the ground.

What are All Souls’s visiting hours?
All Souls’ gates are open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in spring and summer and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in fall and winter. For holiday hours or section access questions, call the cemetery office at (562) 424-8601.
What types of memorials are allowed at All Souls?
All Souls allows flat granite and bronze markers only, each including a cross, following the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ specifications. See the Cemetery Regulations section above for every permitted size and section rule.
What are the setting fees at All Souls?
All Souls charges a setting fee, billed separately from the memorial and paid directly to the cemetery: granite markers are $595, bronze markers are $695. Endowment care is included in this fee, so there’s no separate charge. The endowment care fund is a savings account that funds the long-term care of the grounds; every cemetery in California is required by law to maintain one.
How long does it take to get a headstone made and set at All Souls?
In-stock flat markers are ready in 2–4 weeks. Special orders may take longer; we’ll let you know up front. Once delivered to All Souls, the cemetery typically sets the marker within five business days.
Can I add an inscription to an existing memorial at All Souls?
On site engraving is one of our specialties at most Southern California cemeteries, but All Souls handles inscriptions on existing memorials in house through their own office. To add a name, date, or inscription to a memorial already at All Souls, contact the All Souls office directly at (562) 424-8601.
Do memorials at All Souls have to include a cross?
Yes. As a Catholic cemetery, All Souls requires every memorial to include a cross. We design your memorial to meet this requirement so it’s approved without delay.
Do you handle the approval process with All Souls?
Yes. Everything goes through our office. You approve the design proof, we take it from there: paperwork, section verification, delivery coordination. No separate calls to All Souls on your end.
From Our Chino Factory to All Souls
Our factory and showrooms in Chino are about 45 miles from All Souls Cemetery, roughly 55 minutes south on the 71, 91, and 605. Every memorial bound for All Souls is designed and hand-finished here in Chino, then delivered by our own team.
Since the drive from our Chino factory to All Souls is up to an hour depending on traffic, most families prefer working with us by phone. We send proofs digitally and handle the Archdiocese’s approval process for you.
