Approved Sizes and the Cemetery’s Regulations
All Souls is a Catholic cemetery operated by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, so every memorial follows the Archdiocese’s own specifications. Markers must be granite or bronze; marble, limestone, and synthetic materials are not permitted. Every memorial must include a cross. A lawn-mower-proof (LMP) edge is optional but suggested, since it holds up better against grounds equipment over time. Because All Souls is divided into sections with their own size rules, the marker size available to a family depends on where their loved one’s plot is located. We confirm the size with the cemetery office before any design work begins.
Child Marker
20″ × 10″ × 3″. The smallest marker size used at All Souls, for children’s and infant spaces.
Smallest Adult Marker
24″ × 12″ × 3″. The smallest adult marker size used at All Souls. Room for a name, dates, and a simple inscription alongside the required cross.
Mid-Size Adult Marker
24″ × 14″ × 3″. A mid-size adult marker with a bit more room for artwork alongside the name, dates, and cross.
Largest Standard Adult Marker
28″ × 16″ × 3″. The largest standard adult marker used at All Souls, with the most room for a portrait, scene, or detailed inscription.
All Souls allows our full palette of 18 granite colors for standard markers, plus bronze.

Do you handle everything with All Souls?
Yes. We design and engrave the memorial at our Chino factory, and once you approve the design proof we take it from there: paperwork, cemetery approval, and delivery coordination. No separate calls to All Souls on your end.
What are All Souls’s visiting hours?
All Souls’ gates are open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in spring and summer and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in fall and winter. For holiday hours or section access questions, call the cemetery office at (562) 424-8601.
What types of memorials are allowed at All Souls?
All Souls allows flat granite and bronze markers only, each including a cross, following the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ specifications. See the Cemetery Regulations section above for every permitted size and section rule.
What are the setting fees at All Souls?
As of July 1, 2026, All Souls charges a setting fee, billed separately from the memorial and paid directly to the cemetery: granite markers are $595, bronze markers are $695. Endowment care is included in this fee, so there’s no separate charge. The endowment care fund is a savings account that funds the long-term care of the grounds; every cemetery in California is required by law to maintain one.
Who installs the marker at All Souls?
All Souls’ own grounds crew. We deliver the finished memorial to the cemetery, and their team sets it level with the ground. The setting fee covers this installation.
How long does it take to get a headstone made and set at All Souls?
In-stock flat markers are ready in 2–4 weeks. Special orders may take longer; we’ll let you know up front. Once delivered to All Souls, the cemetery typically sets the marker within five business days.
Can I add an inscription to an existing memorial at All Souls?
On site engraving is one of our specialties at most Southern California cemeteries, but All Souls handles inscriptions on existing memorials in house through their own office. To add a name, date, or inscription to a memorial already at All Souls, contact the All Souls office directly at (562) 424-8601.
Do memorials at All Souls have to include a cross?
Yes. As a Catholic cemetery, All Souls requires every memorial to include a cross. We design your memorial to meet this requirement so it’s approved without delay.
From Our Chino Factory to All Souls
Our factory and showrooms in Chino are about 45 miles from All Souls Cemetery, roughly 55 minutes south on the 71, 91, and 605. Every memorial bound for All Souls is designed and hand-finished here in Chino, then delivered by our own team.
Since the drive from our Chino factory to All Souls is up to an hour depending on traffic, most families prefer working with us by phone. We send proofs digitally and handle the Archdiocese’s approval process for you.

All Souls Cemetery & Mortuary is owned and operated by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The grounds include Lawn Crypts, Family Estates, Niches, and a Cremation Garden, along with an outdoor altar used for the annual All Souls Day and Memorial Day Masses.
