Final pricing depends on the four factors below. These are the starting points.
What Shapes the Price of a Monument
No two memorials are alike, so there's no one size fits all price. Four things mostly decide what you'll pay.
Size & Dimensions
Size is usually the biggest factor. A small flat marker costs far less than a full upright monument, and thickness and height add to it. We make markers in a wide range of sizes to fit your cemetery's rules.
Granite Colors
Granite comes in many natural colors, from black to Blue Pearl. The color and the quarry it comes from both affect price, since some stones are rarer than others.
Engraving Style
Lettering ranges from simple sandblast to shape carving and textured work. The more text and detail you want (names, dates, epitaphs, decorative motifs), the more hand work it takes, and that affects the price. We've done this for over 60 years.
Special Carvings & Artwork
We also do custom relief carvings: flowers, religious symbols, landscapes, emblems. Each one is drawn and cut by hand, so it adds to the cost. It's also what makes a stone feel personal instead of off the shelf.
Every Size, One Price List
These are the starting prices for the most common memorial types and sizes in Southern California. Additional options such as upgraded stone colors, polished edges, and custom artwork or portraits are available.
Included in every price: shallow carved or raised and polished designs, Black or Oxford Gray granite, up to 5 lines of inscription, any 2 standard emblems, and two layouts for your approval.
Delivery to most cemeteries is free. Any exceptions are listed on the cemetery’s page.
