Corona Sunnyslope Cemetery publishes a fixed set of permitted sizes and setting rules for every memorial type. All memorials must be solid granite, and every design needs written cemetery approval before installation. Here’s what the Corona Cemetery Association allows, straight from their official requirements.
Four permitted sizes: 36″ × 12″ (companion, for two side by side graves), 28″ × 16″, 24″ × 12″, and 20″ × 10″ for the cremation and infant gardens. A 2″ concrete border is allowed.
Up to 36″ wide (including base) and 48″ tall (including base, foundation, and die) without Board of Directors approval. Set only in cemetery approved areas, on a vendor supplied concrete foundation.
Size, design, and materials require written approval from the Board of Directors before placement in a cemetery designated area.
Corona Sunnyslope allows our full palette of 18 granite colors for standard markers.
Who sets the marker: Corona Cemetery Association handles the actual setting of every memorial at Sunnyslope. We deliver the finished piece and off load it to their memorial storage area; their own crew installs it on your family’s plot.
What we handle: the design and engraving. We finish your memorial in our Chino factory, prepare the design drawing showing granite type, thickness, and measurements, and submit it to the cemetery office for written approval before anything is delivered.
Fees & paperwork: the cemetery’s Endowment Care deposit and setting fee must be paid, and the contract signed by the recorded property owner, before the cemetery will accept delivery. See our FAQ below for the current fee schedule.
Timeline: most flat markers are ready 2–6 weeks after the design is approved. Upright monuments and benches take longer depending on size and detail, and we schedule delivery as soon as approval comes through.
Sunnyslope Cemetery is located in Corona, at 1125 Rimpau Avenue, and serves families throughout the Corona and neighboring Norco area. It is operated by the nonprofit Corona Cemetery Association.
Flat markers come in four permitted sizes: 36″×12″ (companion, for two side by side graves), 28″×16″, 24″×12″, and 20″×10″ for the cremation and infant gardens. A 2″ concrete border is allowed on any size.
Every upright monument needs a concrete foundation 3″ thick, extending 2″ wider and longer than the monument’s base on every side. We supply and pour the foundation as part of your installation, the cemetery does not provide it. Monuments are only set in cemetery approved areas.
Corona Cemetery Association charges the setting and Endowment Care fee, paid to the cemetery and separate from the cost of the memorial: $1,250 for any upright monument, $1,250 for a bench, $700 for a slant, $350 for a flat marker (28″×16″ or 24″×12″), and $130 for an infant/cremation marker (20″×10″). This deposit and the signed contract from the recorded property owner are required before the cemetery accepts delivery.

Yes. We add inscriptions to existing memorials on site at Sunnyslope with portable engraving equipment, so the marker doesn’t have to be removed. Learn more about on site engraving →
Our factory and showrooms in Chino are about 15 miles from Corona Sunnyslope Cemetery, roughly a 20–25 minute drive down the 71 and 91. Every memorial bound for Sunnyslope is designed and hand finished here in Chino, then delivered by our own team.
Driving directions from VJ Memorials (4737 Schaefer Ave., Chino) to Corona Sunnyslope Cemetery (1125 Rimpau Ave., Corona).
Sunnyslope Cemetery was established in 1892 to serve the new town of South Riverside, renamed Corona in 1896. Civil War veterans, miners, farmers, ranchers, and beekeepers settled this valley, and it’s their descendants, along with generations of Corona families since, who are laid to rest here. The grounds are now part of the City of Corona Historic District, marked by a Civil War memorial honoring the fallen of 1861–1865, and major league ballplayer and longtime USC coach Jess Hill is among those interred here. The cemetery is private and nonprofit, operated by the Corona Cemetery Association.
Families from across the area are laid to rest here, including Corona, Norco, and Rancho Cucamonga.
