What Families Say About Us

Common Questions

What Families Ask About Fairhaven

Do you handle everything with Fairhaven?

Yes. We design and engrave the memorial at our Chino factory, and once you approve the design proof we take it from there: paperwork, cemetery approval, and delivery coordination. No separate calls to Fairhaven on your end.

What are Fairhaven’s visiting hours?

Fairhaven Memorial Park is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. For holiday hours or section access questions, call the cemetery office at (714) 633-1442.

What types of memorials are allowed at Fairhaven?

Fairhaven allows flat granite markers in four sizes, from singles to full ledgers, plus upright monuments. See the Cemetery Regulations section above for every permitted size and section rule.

What are the setting fees at Fairhaven Memorial Park?

Fairhaven charges a setting fee paid directly to the cemetery, separate from the cost of the memorial: $995 for single or double flat markers, $1,495 for upright monuments, and $1,795 for ledgers. Fees listed as of July 9, 2026.

Who installs the marker at Fairhaven?

Fairhaven’s own grounds crew. We deliver the finished memorial to the park, and their team handles the installation. The setting fee covers it.

How long does it take to get a headstone made and set at Fairhaven?

In-stock flat markers are ready in 2–4 weeks. Special orders may take longer; we’ll let you know up front. Once delivered to Fairhaven, the cemetery typically sets the marker within five business days.

Can I add an inscription to an existing memorial at Fairhaven?

Yes. We add inscriptions to existing memorials on site at Fairhaven Memorial Park. We bring our portable engraving equipment right to the gravesite, so there’s no need to disturb the memorial or coordinate a removal. Adding a second name, a death date, or a short inscription typically takes a couple of hours on site. Learn more about on-site engraving →

About the Park

An Orange County Landmark Since 1911

A Place in Santa Ana Since 1911

Founded on August 28, 1911 by Oliver Halsell and a group of local businessmen, as one of the region’s first memorial parks.

Fairhaven spans 73 acres of lawns and gardens with a historic mausoleum and an on-site mortuary, and has served Orange County families for more than a century. It was laid out as a memorial park from the start, an early example of the park-lawn style that most Southern California cemeteries later adopted.

Families from across central Orange County use Fairhaven, including Santa Ana, Tustin, Orange, Irvine, Garden Grove, and Costa Mesa.

Ownership: Private. Part of the Dignity Memorial network of cemeteries and funeral homes.
