Approved Sizes and the Cemetery’s Regulations
Montecito allows flat granite markers, cut from one solid piece of granite with no concrete borders. Any granite color and any design is welcome. The one firm requirement is the edge: a 2″ sanded border, a 2″ polished bevel edge, or a fully polished flat marker. The park signs off on each marker’s size, edge, and granite color before it is ordered, and we take care of that approval for you.
Cremation / Infant Marker
24″ × 14″ × 3″. The smallest flat marker at Montecito, for cremation and infant graves. Room for a name, dates, and a small design.
Single Marker
28″ × 16″ × 3″. The standard marker for adult graves, single or double depth. Fits a name, dates, an inscription, and artwork such as a portrait or scene.
Side by Side Marker
40″ × 18″ × 3″. The companion marker for side by side graves, centered across both spaces with room for two names and a shared design.
Montecito allows our full palette of 18 granite colors.

Do you handle everything with Montecito?
Yes. We design and engrave the memorial at our Chino factory, and once you approve the design proof we take it from there: paperwork, cemetery approval, and delivery coordination. Montecito signs off on the size, edge, and granite color before we cut, and we submit that layout for you. No separate calls to Montecito on your end.
What are Montecito’s visiting hours?
Montecito Memorial Park’s grounds are open daily, 8 AM to 7 PM. For holiday hours or section access questions, call the cemetery office at (909) 825-3024.
What types of memorials are allowed at Montecito?
Montecito allows flat granite markers only. See the Cemetery Regulations section above for every permitted size and section rule.
What are the setting fees at Montecito Memorial Park?
As of August 13, 2026, Montecito charges a $545 setting fee on all flat markers, billed separately from the memorial. Montecito collects it directly from the family through your family counselor at the park, paid in full before the marker is placed. The park does not publish a fee schedule online, so we confirm the current amount with the park when we start your order.
Who installs the marker at Montecito?
Montecito’s own grounds crew. We deliver the finished memorial to the cemetery, and their team sets it level with the ground. The setting fee covers this installation.
How long does it take to get a headstone made and set at Montecito?
In-stock flat markers are ready in 2–4 weeks. Special orders may take longer; we’ll let you know up front. Montecito accepts marker deliveries Monday through Friday, except the last week of each month, and we schedule around that for you. Once delivered, the cemetery typically sets the marker within five business days.
Can I add an inscription to an existing memorial at Montecito?
On site engraving is one of our specialties at most Southern California cemeteries, but Montecito Memorial Park handles inscriptions on existing memorials in house through their own office. To add a name, date, or inscription to a memorial already at Montecito Memorial Park, contact the Montecito Memorial Park office directly at (909) 825-3024.
From Our Chino Factory to Montecito
Our factory and showrooms in Chino are about 31 miles from Montecito Memorial Park, a 35 to 40 minute drive east on the 60 and I-10. Every memorial bound for Montecito is designed and hand-finished here in Chino, then delivered by our own team.

A Historic Inland Empire Memorial Park
Founded by the Hinze family in 1925, planted in a former orange grove where Colton meets Loma Linda.
The park has grown to more than 100 acres straddling the Colton and Loma Linda line, with the stained glass Resthaven Mausoleum (1930), the Spanish style Cypress Chapel from the 1950s, and the 13,000 square foot Valley View Chapel added in 2006. A mortuary operates on the same grounds, and more than 35,000 memorials at the park are recorded on Find a Grave.
Families from across the Inland Empire use Montecito, including Colton, Loma Linda, San Bernardino, Redlands, Grand Terrace, and Rialto.
