Adding Color to Black Granite
Although we generally do not recommend adding colored paint to granite engraving, some families prefer the added color for special artwork and religious images. Like any color exposed outdoors, the paint will gradually fade with time. The important part is that the design itself is permanently engraved into the black granite. As the color naturally fades, the underlying engraving remains, eventually giving the artwork a consistent appearance that continues to look beautiful with the rest of the memorial.
