What’s Allowed at Olivewood
Olivewood permits flat granite markers set level with the ground; upright monuments are not allowed. Every marker must be finished with one of three edge treatments: a Lawn Mower Proof (LMP) edge, an LMP edge with a 2″ sanded border, or a bevel. Concrete borders aren’t permitted except on VA markers, which require one. Only one marker is allowed per grave.
Baby Marker 16″ × 10″
The smallest marker at Olivewood, for graves under four feet in length.
Cremation Marker 20″ × 10″
Used in Olivewood’s cremation sections: Sky View Terrace, the Urn Garden, and Sections Q3 and R3.
Single Marker 28″ × 16″
The standard adult marker at Olivewood, permitted throughout the park.
Single Marker 30″ × 18″ (3″ Bevel)
An alternate adult size with a beveled edge, permitted anywhere the standard 28″ × 16″ is allowed.
Companion Marker 40″ × 18″
A side-by-side marker for two adjacent adult graves, Olivewood’s only companion size.
VA Marker 24″ × 12″
Reserved for eligible veterans. Available in granite or bronze, the only size at Olivewood where a concrete border is required.

Who Sets the Stone at Olivewood
What we handle: Design, engraving, and delivery. We coordinate with Olivewood’s office and complete the required owner’s authorization order so your marker is ready to set when it arrives.
Who sets the marker: Olivewood’s own staff set every marker. Once the memorial arrives at the park, their team places it level with the ground.

What are Olivewood’s visiting hours?
Olivewood Memorial Park’s grounds are open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during standard time and until 7:00 p.m. during Daylight Saving Time. For holiday hours or section access questions, call the cemetery office at (951) 683-6611.
What types of memorials are allowed at Olivewood?
Olivewood allows flat granite markers set level with the ground; upright monuments are not permitted. See the Cemetery Regulations section above for every permitted size and section rule.
What are the setting fees at Olivewood?
Olivewood charges a marker setting fee based on size, paid directly to the cemetery before they’ll accept delivery of a marker: $440 for the baby marker (16″×10″), $450 for cremation markers in Sky View Terrace, the Urn Garden, and Sections Q3/R3 (20″×10″), $480 for the standard adult marker (28″×16″ or 30″×18″ with a bevel), $625 for the companion marker (40″×18″), and $600 for VA markers (24″×12″, veterans only). These fees are separate from the cost of the memorial. Olivewood’s endowment care is collected when the burial plot itself is purchased, so there’s no additional endowment charge when the marker is installed.

How long does it take to get a headstone made and set at Olivewood?
In-stock flat markers are ready in 2–4 weeks. Special orders may take longer; we’ll let you know up front. Once delivered to Olivewood, their own crew sets the marker as part of their regular schedule.
Can I add an inscription to an existing memorial at Olivewood?
Yes. We add inscriptions to existing memorials on site at Olivewood. We bring our portable engraving equipment right to the gravesite, so there’s no need to disturb the memorial or coordinate a removal. Adding a second name, a death date, or a short inscription typically takes a couple of hours on site. Learn more about on-site engraving →
Do you handle the approval process with Olivewood?
Yes. Every marker’s design goes through our office first. Olivewood requires each tablet to be inspected and approved by their management before it’s placed, so we submit your proof and confirm approval before anything leaves our factory.

Our factory and showrooms in Chino are about 22 miles from Olivewood Memorial Park, roughly a 25-minute drive via the CA-60 East. Every memorial bound for Olivewood is designed and hand-finished here in Chino, then delivered by our own team.

A Riverside Landmark Since 1888
Founded by local businessman Charles O. Perrine on land he owned near Pachappa Hill.
Olivewood Memorial Park opened in 1888 as Olivewood Cemetery, one of the two oldest cemeteries in Riverside. The grounds span 27 acres and include the C.O. Perrine Mausoleum, named for the cemetery’s founder.
Families from across the Inland Empire use Olivewood, including Riverside, Moreno Valley, Corona, Norco, Jurupa Valley, and Grand Terrace.
