Approved Sizes and the Cemetery’s Regulations
Pacific View is a lawn park, so most spaces take a flat granite marker set level with the grass. These are the granite sizes on the cemetery’s own list, each with its edge choices: a plain edge, an LMP (lawn mower proof) edge, a 2″ polished bevel, or rock pitched sides. Granite half ledgers, full ledgers, and a granite memorial bench are on the list too. The cemetery reviews every design before we start cutting; tell us which garden your plot is in and we’ll confirm what fits your space.
Baby Marker
16″ × 8″ × 3″. The smallest flat marker on Pacific View’s list. Room for a name, dates, and a small emblem. Edge: plain.
Single Marker
28″ × 16″ × 3″. The standard single adult marker. Room for a name, dates, an inscription, and artwork such as a portrait, flags, or roses. Edges: plain, LMP, or 2″ polished bevel.
Large Single Marker
32″ × 20″ × 3″. A larger single marker with extra room for artwork and a longer inscription. Edges: plain, LMP, or 2″ polished bevel.
Companion Marker
44″ × 14″ × 3″. A long flat marker with room for two names side by side. Edges: plain, LMP, or 2″ polished bevel.
Companion Marker
56″ × 14″ × 3″. A wider companion marker for two names, two sets of dates, and shared artwork. Edges: plain, LMP, or 2″ polished bevel.
Companion Marker
56″ × 16″ × 3″. The same length with a little more height for artwork. Edges: plain, LMP, or 2″ polished bevel.
Large Flat Marker
60″ × 20″ × 4″. The largest flat marker on the list, 4″ thick. Edges: plain or rock pitched sides.
Half Ledger
30″ × 39″, 3″ or 4″ thick. A granite slab covering the upper part of the grave. Edges: plain or 2″ polished bevel.
Full Ledger
32″ × 72″ × 6″ or 36″ × 72″ × 6″. A granite slab covering the full length of the grave, with rock pitched sides.
Memorial Bench
Harp leg granite bench. A 48″ × 14″ × 4″ seat on two granite supports over a rock pitched base. Choose a 72″ base with two turned vases, or a 62″ base without vases.
Pacific View allows our full palette of 18 granite colors.

Do you handle everything with Pacific View?
Yes. We design and engrave the memorial at our Chino factory, and once you approve the design proof we take it from there: paperwork, cemetery approval, and delivery coordination. No separate calls to Pacific View on your end.
What are Pacific View’s visiting hours?
Pacific View Memorial Park is open daily from 8 AM to dusk. For holiday hours or garden access questions, call the cemetery office at (949) 644-2700.
What types of memorials are allowed at Pacific View?
Pacific View allows flat granite markers from 16″ × 8″ up to 60″ × 20″, granite half and full ledgers, and a granite memorial bench. See the Approved Sizes section above for every size and edge choice.
What are the setting fees at Pacific View Memorial Park?
Pacific View charges a setting fee paid directly to the cemetery before they accept the marker, separate from the cost of the memorial. Fees depend on the size and type of marker. Call us at (909) 902-9000 for the current fees at Pacific View.
Who installs the marker at Pacific View?
Pacific View’s own grounds crew. We deliver the finished memorial to the cemetery, and their team sets it level with the ground. The setting fee covers this installation.
How long does it take to get a headstone made and set at Pacific View?
In-stock flat markers are ready in 2–4 weeks. Special orders may take longer; we’ll let you know up front. Once delivered to Pacific View, the cemetery typically sets the marker within five business days.
Can I add an inscription to an existing memorial at Pacific View?
Yes. We add inscriptions to existing memorials on site at Pacific View Memorial Park. We bring our portable engraving equipment right to the gravesite, so there’s no need to disturb the memorial or coordinate a removal. Adding a second name, a death date, or a short inscription typically takes a couple of hours on site. Learn more about on-site engraving →
From Our Chino Factory to Pacific View
Our factory and showrooms in Chino are about 45 miles from Pacific View Memorial Park, roughly an hour southwest on the 71, the 91, and the 55 down to the coast. Every memorial bound for Pacific View is designed and hand-finished here in Chino, then delivered by our own team.
Since the drive from our Chino factory to Pacific View is up to 75 minutes depending on traffic, most families prefer working with us by phone. We send proofs digitally and handle the cemetery’s approval process for you.
A Hillside Park Above Newport Harbor
Opened in 1958 on the seaward slopes of the old Rancho San Joaquin, with the harbor and Catalina Island in view.
Pacific View Memorial Park sits on the hills above Corona del Mar in the City of Newport Beach, with roughly 30,000 interments across its lawn gardens, mausoleums, columbaria, and cremation gardens. Its named gardens include Meadowlawn, the Garden of Memories, Pacific Gardens, Bayview Terrace, and the Garden of Valor for veterans. John Wayne and Kobe and Gianna Bryant are among those buried here.
