What’s Allowed at Perris Valley
Perris Valley is a lawn style memorial park. Every memorial must be a solid, industry standard granite flush marker set level with the ground, finished with either a 2″ polished beveled edge or a sanded edge. Only one marker is allowed per gravesite, and the District’s own personnel set every marker. Grave borders and other architectural objects aren’t permitted unless approved by the cemetery manager. We build each marker to these specifications so it’s approved and set without a hitch.
Single / Companion: up to 28″ × 16″ × 3″
The standard flat marker for a single or double interment in a single grave. Room for names, dates, an inscription, and artwork such as a portrait or scene. Finished with a 2″ polished beveled edge or a sanded edge.
Cremation / Infant: up to 18″ × 12″ × 3″
The smaller flat marker for cremation and infant gravesites. Either marker size may be placed on a cremation or infant space. Finished with a 2″ polished beveled edge or a sanded edge.

Who Sets the Stone at Perris Valley
What we handle: Design, engraving, and delivery. We coordinate with Perris Valley’s office and handle the paperwork so your marker is ready to set when it arrives at the cemetery.
Who sets the marker: Perris Valley’s own grounds crew sets every marker. Once the memorial reaches the District, their team places it level with the ground.
What Families Ask About Perris Valley
What are Perris Valley’s visiting hours?
Perris Valley Cemetery is open to visitors daily from 6am to 6pm. The office is open Monday through Friday, 8am to 3pm, and is closed on County holidays, though the grounds stay open. For holiday hours or section access questions, call the cemetery office at (951) 657-2352.
What types of memorials are allowed at Perris Valley?
Perris Valley allows flat granite markers only, set level with the ground. See the Cemetery Regulations section above for every permitted size and section rule.
Why can’t I buy the headstone from the cemetery?
Perris Valley Cemetery is a public cemetery district, and California law prohibits public cemeteries from selling memorials. Families buy the marker from a monument company like ours, and the District installs it for a setting fee.
What are the setting fees at Perris Valley Cemetery?
Perris Valley Cemetery District charges the setting fee, paid to the cemetery and separate from the cost of the memorial: $150 for a single adult marker, $180 for a dual (companion) marker, $150 for a cremation marker, and $135 for an infant marker. The District also maintains an endowment care fund, required by California law, that pays for the long term care of the grounds.

How long does it take to get a headstone made and set at Perris Valley?
In stock flat markers are ready in 2–4 weeks. Special orders may take longer; we’ll let you know up front. Once delivered to Perris Valley, the cemetery typically sets the marker within a few business days.
Can I add an inscription to an existing memorial at Perris Valley?
Yes. We add inscriptions to existing memorials on site at Perris Valley. We bring our portable engraving equipment right to the gravesite, so there’s no need to disturb the memorial or coordinate a removal. Adding a second name, a death date, or a short inscription typically takes a couple of hours on site. Learn more about on-site engraving →
Can I have an upright monument at Perris Valley?
No. Perris Valley permits flat granite markers only, set level with the ground. Upright monuments, slants, and benches aren’t allowed anywhere in the cemetery.
Do you handle the approval process with Perris Valley?
Yes. Everything goes through our office. You approve the design proof, we take it from there: paperwork, section verification, delivery coordination. No separate calls to Perris Valley on your end.

Our factory and showrooms in Chino are about 38 miles from Perris Valley Cemetery, roughly a 40 minute drive southeast on the CA-60 and I-215. Every memorial for Perris Valley is designed and hand finished right here in Chino.
Perris Valley is an easy drive from our Chino factory, so we’d love for you to visit us in person.
We don’t run a regular delivery route to Perris Valley, but we’re close by, you’re welcome to pick your finished marker up at our Chino factory, or we can deliver it to the cemetery for an additional $125.

Perris Valley Cemetery is a 19 acre memorial park established in 1927. In January 2002 the Riverside County Board of Supervisors appointed itself as Trustees, making it a dependent special district known today as the Perris Valley Cemetery District.
Families from across the Inland Empire use Perris Valley, including Perris, Menifee, Moreno Valley, Sun City, and Lake Elsinore.
