Gonzalez Praying Hands and Slot Machine Grave MarkerEmerald Pearl Granite
When planning a companion headstone, it helps to consider how a second portrait will be added later. Usbaldo’s photo sits at the upper left, with a matching space left open on the right. That space will still need to be recessed when the second photo is added—a shallow opening cut into the stone for the portrait to sit in. Leaving room in the design is the first step; preparing the stone for the photo is a separate part of the work.
