Approved Sizes and the Cemetery’s Regulations
Resurrection is a Catholic cemetery operated by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, so every memorial follows the Archdiocese’s own installation rules. Markers must be granite or bronze, only one flush-type memorial is allowed per grave, and no marking may extend above the surface of the ground, so upright monuments are not permitted here. Every memorial must include a cross, properly proportioned and worked into the design. Engraving highlights are limited to black or white lithochrome; colored paint is not permitted and any memorial finished with it will be removed. An LMP (lawn-mower-proof) edge is highly recommended. Families who choose a straight edge instead must sign a waiver at the cemetery office acknowledging possible damage, since Resurrection will not repair or remake a memorial installed that way.

The standard adult marker size, granite or bronze, flat. Room for a name, dates, and a full inscription alongside the required cross.
Family Estate (Two Grave Plot) 36″ × 18″ × 3″
Granite or bronze, flat. One memorial spanning two adjacent grave spaces.

Do you handle everything with Resurrection?
Yes. We design and engrave the memorial at our Chino factory, and once you approve the design proof we take it from there: paperwork, cemetery approval, and delivery coordination. No separate calls to Resurrection on your end.
What are Resurrection’s visiting hours?
Resurrection’s gates are open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in spring and summer and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in fall and winter. For holiday hours or section access questions, call the cemetery office at (323) 887-2024.
What types of memorials are allowed at Resurrection?
Resurrection allows flat granite and bronze markers only, each worked around the required cross, following the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ installation rules. See the Cemetery Regulations section above for every permitted size and section rule.
What are the setting fees at Resurrection?
As of July 1, 2026, Resurrection charges a setting fee of $595 for granite markers and $695 for bronze markers, paid directly to the cemetery and due before installation. Endowment care is included in that fee, not billed separately. The endowment care fund is a savings account that funds the long-term care of the grounds; every cemetery in California is required by law to maintain one.
Who installs the marker at Resurrection?
Resurrection’s own grounds crew. We deliver the finished memorial to the cemetery, and their team sets it level with the ground. The setting fee covers this installation.
How long does it take to get a headstone made and set at Resurrection?
In-stock flat markers are ready in 2–4 weeks. Special orders may take longer; we’ll let you know up front. Once delivered to Resurrection, the cemetery typically sets the marker within five business days.
Can I add an inscription to an existing memorial at Resurrection?
On site engraving is one of our specialties at most Southern California cemeteries, but Resurrection handles inscriptions on existing memorials in house through their own office. To add a name, date, or inscription to a memorial already at Resurrection, contact the Resurrection office directly at (323) 887-2024.
Do I have to use an LMP edge at Resurrection?
No, but it is highly recommended. An LMP (lawn-mower-proof) edge holds up better against grounds equipment over time. If you’d rather have a straight edge instead, Resurrection requires a signed waiver at their office acknowledging the marker may be damaged, and they will not repair or remake it. From Our Chino Factory to Resurrection
Our factory and showrooms in Chino are about 21 miles from Resurrection Cemetery, a 25 to 30 minute drive west on the 60. Every memorial bound for Resurrection is designed and hand-finished here in Chino, then delivered by our own team.
